BREUNINGER, MUNICH
Flagship Department Store:
Ground Floor: 1,457m2 net retail
Lower Ground: 680m2 net retail
Interior Architecture (RIBA 1-3)
The acquisition of Konen, a much-loved independent department store, provided Breuninger with the opportunity to bring their high-service philosophy to the Munich customer, investing in a refurbishment that included a major re-configuration of the ground and lower ground floors.
Now on the ground floor a language of sweeping curves, dynamic forms and diffused light welcomes customers into a reimagined Beauty, Accessories & Gastronomy destination.
On the lower ground, a destination Women’s Shoe World - the largest in the city - will offer everything from contemporary and premium footwear collections to a dedicated sneaker zone.
The material palette combines textured glass and soft neutral tones with rich bronzes and timbers, balancing warmth and sensuality with a cool contemporary edge. And a bespoke geometric pattern, inspired by the Bavarian flag, becomes a new store signature.
